This was actually the first progressive metal song I had written, before TELOS had actually existed. It's a fun and easy track and we had to see it come again with vocals. The solo as well was the first solo I had wrote, so this song holds a special place in my heart. -Andrew
lyrics
We're wasting time treating self inflicted wounds when the real problem lies deep within our bones.
Our answer to conflict is violent weapons.
What a shame it must be to feel.
Our ideal solution is that of a pollution.
Destruction is the essence of all we know.
Let's retrace our steps and regain our grasp.

To uphold the scars, the scars on our backs, we're uncapable.
The white flag still has yet to show.
This is the mess we made of a place called home.
We cannot call the blame anyone's but our own.
Destruction is the essence of all we know.
Let's retrace our steps and regain our grasp.

One of the best modern prog metal groups out there... Even their freshmen years were absolutely fantastic... Great EP... One of the only bands I'm truly saddened by, knowing I don't have their music on vinyl... "hint, hint" enemyofthenight
